No matter the time of year, there is always an opportunity for your business to have a marketing campaign which reflects the upcoming holiday or season. With Christmas around the corner, now is the time to take advantage of the power of marketing and create a campaign which targets your audience and enhances your brand.

Seasonal Campaigns suited to Your Audience

Seasonal campaigns allow your business to get creative and have a little more fun with the message. It is however very important to understand who the campaign is aimed at. Do you know who your customer is? When choosing an image and associated strapline you should try to tap into the mindset of your customer and what their potential emotional response might be.

Seasonal and holiday specific campaigns allow you to evoke a feeling within your customers more strongly than just a general one.

You will need to consider where the campaign will be seen – in your office/shop window, on your website, across social media, local advertising etc. Who are your customers across these channels? It is impossible to create a campaign to suit everyone but within your marketing strategy you should highlight different campaigns for different customers at different times of the year.

Seasonal Campaigns and Your Company Image

Seasonal campaigns let you control how your company brand is perceived. This is an opportunity for you to get a little creative which in turn shows your current or potential customers that you are not only creative, but innovative and have personality. It also shows that you are keeping up with the local market. Existing and potential clients may start to associate that holiday or season with your business because of what they have seen.

Think about an offer that will coincide with your campaign. What is the hook to create more impact? It’s also important that you are clear on your call to action. What is your ultimate objective? To grow you mailing list, to generate more enquiries and traffic to your website or is it simply a brand awareness exercise?

How to Execute the Perfect Seasonal Campaign

With some planning and attention to detail, your campaigns will be a success. Firstly, keep the campaign visually appealing and on brand. With an eye-catching design, there is a better chance people will stop and take notice. Secondly, remember that your business has the power to make the customer feel a certain way, so recognize what that emotional response is and take advantage of that. Lastly, have fun with it! There are endless options no matter the time of year, so this is your opportunity to shine and create an impactful campaign that resonates with your customers and in turn grows your business.
